Meet our Crew

Isabel Harrison

Handling all logistics for Alma, Isabel has taken on the role of Producer for Alma, a role in which she knows well. Having been a Location Marshall on professional sets, as well as the Producer of her award-winning short film, Autumn of Life (2024) last year, organisation and efficiency is at the heart of everything Isabel does, and the reason why we couldn’t imagine our project being produced by anyone else. Have you seen how neat her call sheets are? You won’t believe your eyes.

Director

Lea Neumayer

Taking her seat in the Director’s chair this year, Lea’s personal connection to Alma’s story makes her the perfect candidate to direct the film’s principal cast. With experience as a 1st AD, and having Script Supervised a short film that is now on Channel 4, Lea’s skillset in the directorial department of Film Production have allowed her to spread her wings and lead us in shaping Alma into a beautiful story.

He’s the guy with the eye for detail and the knack for cameras, it’s our DOP, Jack. Jack has worked immensely hard on Alma and has used his previous experience on both student and BFI-funded, professional sets to lead the camera department into creating a visually stunning film. Going out of his way to hire special lenses outside of University, to bring Alma’s world to life, Jack stops at nothing to ensure the Director’s vision is executed onscreen in the best possible way

Director of Photography

With an ability to produce tear-jerking work, Emma is taking to the ink to tell us yet another heart-warming story. Having written and directed the award-winning short film, Autumn Of Life (2024), we have no doubt that nobody could have written Alma’s script better than Emma. After University, Emma wishes to pursue working in the Casting sector of film, which her writing will certainly help with, as her skills will help her be able to identify whether the budding talent can convey the emotions of the lines they are auditioning with.

A ray of light who's also lighting up our set, our Gaffer, Joe, has networked well during his time at University, becoming a go-to for people who need help bringing their sets to life, visually. His enthusiasm when elevating the look of Alma’s locations never goes unnoticed. Outside of University, Joe is a videographer for the Portsmouth & Southsea Futsal Club, creating Highlight Videos of the matches, which look pretty awesome!

Alma’s Production Designer, Priya, has returned from a placement year, in which she worked in the industry on various projects. Applying the knowledge she has gained on her study break, Priya brings a refreshing approach to visually executing Alma’s environments flawlessly. Knowing the best ways to dress sets on a budget, Priya has been able to bring Alma’s world to life in a way that is cost efficient, yet equally as beautiful.

Bringing her professionalism, punctuality and knowledge of sound to set, it's our Sound Recordist, Alex. Sound is Alex’s wheelhouse, and when it came to the initial formation of the group, everybody could agree that no one would be as good of a Sound Recordist as Alex. Having worked on student sets, as well as short documentaries, Alex knows how to handle pressure in even the most stressful of situations, and has been a pleasure to work with throughout the project.

Leading the charge on the Post-Production of Alma, it's our Editor, Zoë. Having pursued editing since her school years, Zoë is no stranger to making the most of any editing software she is faced with, and has opted to use DaVinci Resolve for Alma’s final edit, to help with the colour grade that she has been putting together for the film. Outside of Alma, Zoë has recently undertaken some work experience for ITV’s This Morning, which has expanded her knowledge on Post-Production and live editing in multi-camera environments! How cool!

Corey White

Finishing off the Alma team, it's our Sound Designer, Corey. Having directed sound mixers during his placement year at National Geographic UK, as well as mixing and designing numerous student projects, Corey certainly knows his way around a ProTools project, and enjoys crafting soundscapes that evoke emotion and form connections with audiences. On the set of Alma, Corey undertook the role of Script Supervisor, a new role for him, but an essential part of the production process, that he enjoyed and is considering doing more of in the future.

While our core crew is nine strong, we couldn't have done it without our brilliant extended crew who helped us through production. We are all so grateful to have such a passionate team working on Alma.
